Block by Block Creative builds stories, creates content, and designs social media strategies for nonprofits, NGOs, and other mission-driven organizations.
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our small team of creatives and advocates, and support multiple projects. We’re looking for someone who loves to dig in and collaborate during the design process and has a passion for the progressive issues our clients work on including: reform of the criminal justice system, Indigenous-led conservation, voting, disability rights, and more.
Here are the details:
You will be required to attend our weekly team meetings and occasional ad hoc meetings or trainings online via videochat. While working mostly on your own, flexible schedule, you must be available during business hours on weekdays to complete assignments.
Duties include work both for external clients and internal projects:
Publications (reports, invitations)
Have the gear. We require a MacOS Computer, running at the latest OSX. If you do not have an Adobe account, we’ll provide you with one. You must absolutely have a reliable computer and internet connection.
Know the software. We use Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and newer tools like Canva. You should have a working knowledge of all of them.
Communicate clearly. We are a dispersed team across different timezones, communicating entirely online, so clear communications is absolutely essential.
Give a damn. The projects we work on advance the most pressing progressive causes on the planet. If you’re a storyteller who cares about human rights and justice for all, this is the place for you.
This is a contract position for approximately two months, from Nov 2020 - Dec 2020, with the possibility of an extension. The graphic designer will work up to 20 hours per week at $30/hr.
This is a remote position open to anyone eligible to work in, and currently based in the United States.
