Contract - Production Assistant

As we expand, we now seek a contract production assistant to support a wide range of activities. The ideal production assistant has an interest in the progressive issues our clients work on including reform of the criminal justice system, forest conservation, education equity, disability rights, and more.

We don't expect applicants to necessarily have an extensive production resume.
What we need is someone reliable and who wants to learn. The assistant will be involved in planning and execution of social media campaigns, video production, and other multimedia projects for progressive causes.

This is a contract position for six months, beginning in January 2019. Assistant will work up to 40 hours per month at $16/hr. Scheduling around other gigs, school, parenting, etc is a-okay.

Much of the work will be remote, but the assistant must be available for occasional meetings or other activities in the greater Seattle area.

Requirements

 

  • Must be open-minded, willing to learn and hard-working.

  • Bachelor's degree or Bachelor's degree in progress

  • Solid English writing skills

  • Knowledge of and/or willing to learn online platforms including Google G-Suite, Wix, SquareSpace, Slack, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

  • Reliable laptop, access to reliable internet at home.

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Did we mention open-minded, willing to learn and hard-working?


Duties may include:
 

  • Planning and booking travel

  • Light bookkeeping

  • Research

  • Social media communications

  • assisting on video and other creative content production

  • other administrative support

Contract - Video Editor

Location: Anywhere U.S. - Remote

As we expand, we now seek a contract video editor to support a wide range of activities.  The ideal editor has an interest in the progressive issues our clients work on including reform of the criminal justice system, forest conservation, education equity, disability rights, and more. In addition to mastery of Adobe Premiere and other Adobe Suite apps, the editor is an excellent storyteller who can work on their own and in collaboration with creative partners.

 

This is a remote contract position for six months, beginning in January 2019. Assistant will work up to 100 hours per month at $30/hr. Scheduling around other gigs, school, parenting, etc is a-okay.

 

Requirements

 

  • 1-3 years of fast-paced short-form video post production, with at least some proven experience with non-profit, NGO or advocacy videos.

  • Excellent storytelling skills.  Be able to mold footage into engaging content appropriate for the audience and venue.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Be able to take feedback from organization stakeholders and implement changes according to direction.

  • Willingness to wear many hats, and work collaboratively on a team, while being able to work self-directed when necessary.

  • Knowledge of media codecs and exporting

  • Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop.  Proficiency with After Effects and other apps a plus.

  • Experience with creating accessible media, including captioning and audio description, a plus.

  • You must be fully setup to edit video using Adobe Creative Cloud, and be able to receive footage and post edits via a reliable internet connection.

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

 

Job duties

 

  • Ingest, transcode, and organize media.

  • Perform video editing, sound mix, color correction, and final delivery for short videos.

  • Implement changes based on notes.

  • Prepare deliverables for various outlets - Facebook, YouTube, screenings, etc.

  • Participate in pre-production discussions.

  • Maintain brand consistency on all deliverables.

  • Pitch in on other creative content as necessary

Contract - 2d Motion Graphics Designer

We need a creative storyteller and Adobe expert to support creation of content advocating for criminal justice reform, forest conservation, education equity, disability rights, and more.

You can work remotely, anywhere in the USA, provided you have the software, a good internet connection and are ready to work collaboratively over video chat. We're looking for someone who can work within project parameters, but brings their ideas to the table.

 

This is a contract position for $35/hr for 100-150 hours in May 2019. Additional work is expected later this summer.

Requirements

  • Advanced user of Adobe After Effects and Character Animator

  • Moderate to advanced user of Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Demonstrated 2d animation work

  • Reliable computer, Adobe Creative Cloud account, and access to reliable internet.

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Big plus if you edit video as well on Premiere.


Duties may include:
 

  • Storyboarding

  • Illustration

  • 2D Animation

  • Light video editing

  • Light audio / music editing
